Elon Musk can of course claim ignorance, but he knows exactly what he is doing.
The idea that the mainstream media is dishonest, as he claimed this week in a virulent Twitter rant is a classic anti-Semitic trope.
Furthermore, it is an anti-Semitic canard.
I am hereby demanding that the ADL demand he apologize for these hateful remarks targeting the Jewish people.

Musk even went so far as to suggest that the Jewish-dominated American media exists to serve the interests of big corporations. A type of triple stack Whopper of anti-Semitic canards.
Problem is journos are under constant pressure to get max clicks & earn advertising dollars or get fired. Tricky situation, as Tesla doesn’t advertise, but fossil fuel companies & gas/diesel car companies are among world’s biggest advertisers.

With these hate-charged tweets, he is effectively plagiarizing – paraphrasing, at the very least – Nazi Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels.
Musk, a mean, mad white man who is much to fragile to recognize his privilege or the history of persecution that the Jews have suffered through, went on to declare that he is establishing an organization to prove how little trust people have in the Jews who run the media.
Going to create a site where the public can rate the core truth of any article & track the credibility score over time of each journalist, editor & publication. Thinking of calling it Pravda …

Musk is openly announcing a plan very similar to the actions the Nazis took in the early days of the Third Reich. They first accused Jewish owned publication of publishing false information, producing reports on what they claimed was a “pattern of falsehood,” before eventually seizing control of Jewish-owned newspapers.
As the website of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum recounts:
Through measures to “Aryanize” businesses, the regime also assumed control of Jewish-owned publishing companies, notably Ullstein and Mosse.
Ullstein, which published the well-known Berlin daily the Vossische Zeitung, was the largest publishing house company in Europe by 1933, employing 10,000 people. In 1933, German officials forced the Ullstein family to resign from the board of the company and, a year later, to sell the company assets.
Owners of a worldwide advertising agency, the Mosse family owned and published a number of major liberal papers much hated by the Nazis, including the Berlin Tageblatt; the Mosse family fled Germany the day after Hitler took power. Fearing imprisonment or death, reputable journalists also began to flee the country in large numbers. German non-Jewish newspaper owners replaced them in part with ill-trained and inexperienced amateurs loyal to the Nazi Party, as well as with skilled and veteran journalists prepared to collaborate with the regime in order to maintain and even enhance their careers.
As we know, this sort of thing quickly led to Jews being rounded up and stuffed into fake shower rooms where they were gassed to death by the millions using insecticide.
In the age of the Trump, white men like Musk feel empowered to act out their racist impulses to an extreme degree.
Each day brings new shocking instances of anti-Semitism.
