The theory that Russia was responsible for poisoning this Russian spy in the UK is not only lacking – it is nonexistent. The assertion is simply “Russia didn’t like this guy, and someone killed him, so it must have been Russia.”
Of course, the idea that Russia would do this, right in the middle of all of these troubles no less, is utterly nonsensical. It is even less coherent than the claim that Saddam Hussein was plotting to invade America.
So yesterday, with Theresa putting the pressure on the EU to get on board with her kook theory after already having expelled Russian diplomats from the UK, they were all like “ehhhhh….”
RT:
The UK was quick to point the blame for the Salisbury attack – but its own allies are refusing to do the same. Reports suggest EU leaders gathering in Brussels are backing away from British attempts to condemn Moscow.
After former double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia were exposed to the A-234 nerve agent (also known as ‘Novichok’) in Salisbury, UK Prime Minister Theresa May blamed Russia. Britain said it was “highly likely” to be a Kremlin-backed act of aggression, despite repeated denials from Moscow.
A draft text from EU talks on the matter has emerged condemning “in the strongest possible terms” the attacks. The phrase was added to the draft text that EU leaders will discuss at a summit in Brussels on Thursday and Friday, which was obtained by Politico.
However, the question of attribution was not changed. The UK has been pushing for the Kremlin to be recognized as the perpetrator. Yet, its allies in Brussels appear to be refusing to cast judgment ahead of the evidence, unlike Downing Street.
The text says: “The EU takes extremely seriously the UK Government’s assessment that it is highly likely that the Russian Federation is responsible. The European Union is shocked at the offensive use of any military-grade nerve agent, of a type developed by Russia, for the first time on European soil in over 70 years. The use of chemical weapons by anyone under any circumstances is completely unacceptable and constitutes a security threat to us all. The Union calls on Russia to address urgently the questions raised by the UK and the international community and provide immediate, full and complete disclosure of its Novichok programme to the OPCW.”
Diplomats familiar with talks said Greece and Italy did not want the language changed. “They say that there’s no smoking gun, or at least not yet,” said an EU diplomat to Politico. Greece has denied calling for alterations but admitted it lobbied for a more “clear” text.
Theresa May’s team has been hoping for unequivocal world backing, but has not received it. She expelled 23 Russian diplomats from London last week, and has threatened further punishment.
Any single politician who is actually engaged in geopolitics knows this is a false flag and they know what the goal of it is: to escalate tensions with Russia.
A lot of politicians, particularly in Southern Europe, are not so keen on this whole WWIII agenda.
Nonetheless, Theresa was able to get her escalation. In part.
The European Union is recalling its ambassador from Moscow for consultations over the nerve gas attack against a former spy in Britain earlier this month, reinforcing a united stand with Prime Minister Theresa May against Russia.
After the EU firmly sided with May in the escalating conflict reminiscent of the Cold War and said it was “highly likely Russia is responsible” for the attack on Sergei Skripal, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte said the EU envoy “is being recalled for consultations to Brussels.”
May won the backing of 27 other EU leaders at a summit Thursday and the bloc called the attack a “grave challenge to our shared security.”
The EU states said they would “coordinate on the consequences to be drawn in the light of the answers provided by the Russian authorities.”
May was delighted with the support early Friday. “This is about us standing together to uphold our values against the Russian threat,” she said.
…
During a summit dinner, May laid out the reasons Britain is convinced Moscow was behind the attack, including the type of poison used — a Soviet-developed nerve agent known as Novichok — and intelligence that Russia has produced it within the last decade.
Britain argues the attack is part of a pattern of behavior by an increasingly assertive Russia whose muscle-flexing, cyber-meddling and law-breaking on foreign soil pose a threat to the international rule of law.
The assertion that it is a Russian chemical is the singular piece of evidence, and that isn’t really evidence at all because a bunch of other states have had access to this substance. And obviously, whatever Western intelligence agency is responsible for this could have easily gotten a hold of it. That is the sort of thing intelligence agencies do.
Russia benefits from this in no way whatsoever. This situation is ridiculous.
But false-flagging is the new Jew meme. Because they are backed up against a wall. Russia is winning on a scale they never expected them to, and without Hillary Clinton to push for a war openly – in order to protect ISIS – they are sinking now to very low methods.
And they could get caught.
Faith in the system has never been lower, and nobody wants a third world war.
