Fact Attack: How Rep. Steve King and Others Are Taking Back the Discourse

When well-caffeinated, one has to work harder to pull back from the reflex to use the Left’s own rhetoric against Leftist insanity. It’s a good tactic, don’t mistake me, but it can come off as cheap if used on instinct.

For example, one might say that the Left’s narrative on Old White Men is desperately ‘fragile.’ Obviously it is, as Congressman Steve King (R-Iowa) proved on MSNBC on Monday. Shaun King tweeted about it, the New York Times wrote about it, and judging by his Twitter MSNBC host Chris Hayes is near to fainting that it happened on his show.

Congressman King’s question: “This whole ‘old white people’ business does get a little tired, Charlie. I’d ask you to go back through history and figure out where are these contributions that have been made by these other categories of people that you are talking about? Where did any other subgroup of people contribute more to civilization?”

This was a response to Esquire‘s Charles P. Pierce making the correct and smugly stated observation that, “If you’re really optimistic, you can say this was the last time that old white people would command the Republican Party’s attention, its platform, its public face…” Pierce even says he was disappointed that this did not happen in 2012, so we know exactly what we’re dealing with.

The dindusha next to him agrees in typical talk-over-and-nod fashion, “Very White crowd in there, yes, very White crowd,” as Pierce describes the racial composition of the Republican National Convention. Then King delivers his smack.

The Left’s response to Congressman King’s query is so lusciously panicked I am almost aroused by it. It is example and confirmation of the strategy many a goy has employed on Twitter and Facebook: present simple facts and let them respond with hysteria. This is not done to convince the hysterical, it is done for the benefit of the people watching the exchange. As Mike Enoch pointed out on the Shoah, one thing that bothers even normies is the double standard. Why can’t White people be proud of their many obvious achievements? Why is pointing them out bad when we are daily force-fed the mythical glory of other races? If you do not have an ideology to explain this away, it will bother you.

On top of this, facts work, which is why they are being hidden. I convinced a close family member over the Fourth of July to vote Trump with information about the demographics of California. She grew up there and she is (was) thinking of retiring to Southern California. Her face fell and she was silent for a full minute when I told her that more than 60% of infants born last year in California are Hispanic. She consumes the New York Times and NPR for her news, so she had no idea. She knew without my saying it what this means for the future of that state.

We are at the point that hate facts are regularly spoken on television. Along with Steve King’s question, this week we also had Sheriff David Clarke bitch-slapping Don Lemon on CNN over Lemon’s transparent sympathies with BLM and refusal to acknowledge it as anti-police. Last week we had Marc Lamont Hill approach screech-level on CNN when confronted with the reality of Black crime by NYPD Detective Harry Houck (my nominee for shitlord of the year). Can you feel people becoming exhausted with the word ‘racist’? I can feel it.

There was one remarkable response to Congressman King, written by Sarah Watts at Salon. On her blog she presents as a fat Catholic mother of two. I do not know what she is doing writing this nonsense, but she was a humanities major in college.

Talk about not thinking things through. Watts details the contributions of non-Whites to human civilization: Humanity itself (we wuz Africans), Civilization itself, Law, Tools. Other than Christianity, which she attributes to Jews, nothing listed occurred in past the 3000 years. I guess the implication is that contemporary Black people are less inventive than even Bronze Age nomads. Yikes, that’s pretty racist, Sarah.

This is a cruel point, but it reinforces why we must win. On her blog, Watt reveals her son has spina bifida, hydrocephalus (fluid in the brain), and clubbed feet. These are serious birth defects and her child requires regular medical attention and likely will for much of his life. Is there any question how this woman and her family have benefited from Western Civilization and Old White Men? What would be the fate of this child without Western Medicine? Yet this woman takes time from mothering to write articles damning the source of her son’s salvation. How rotten is the apple.

Academia must be purged, our ideas must become the cultural mainstream, and our civilization must be saved.
