Here we have what is apparently a Holocaust denial joke on an old episode of the cartoon “Family Guy.”
The clip is from the 2007 episode “Road to Rupert.” Stewie and Brian are going on a trip to Colorado to get back Stewie’s lost Teddy Bear, and Brian doesn’t want to go.
Brian: Look, I’m not going to Colorado. I’m turning around and going home.
Stewie: Fine, then, I’ll go by myself. See you from the back of my milk carton. Want that on your conscience, Brian? Try explaining this to Lois. You’ll wind up in a dumpster with a bunch of slow, unadoptable greyhounds.
Brian: Don’t joke about that! That’s like the Holocaust to us!
Stewie: Yeah, well, when greyhounds start running The New York Times and the World Bank, I’ll be more inclined to believe you. [he sticks out his thumb] Now are you coming or not?
“Unadoptable greyhounds” is a reference to the animal rights abuses in the dog-racing industry. Stewie’s comment on the Holocaust is clearly a reference to Jews using their institutional power in the media and financial system to push the Holocaust narrative.
Granted, Stewie is the bad guy on the show, so the comment is taken with the context of “this evil character believes the Holocaust was a hoax,” but still, it is very surprising that they actually got away with referring to Jewish control of media and banking in connection to a reference to the Holocaust.
Though it is in some ways similar to to Cartman exposing the 911 attacks on South Park, that was an entire episode, not just a minor comment, and was designed to mock 9/11 revisionism. Also, the Holocaust is a much more important lie than 9/11 in the scheme of things, and something that Jews never really joke about.
This line was just dropped in there for most people to miss. Hardly a serious shot at deniers. It is an inside joke that anyone not in the know would miss. Apparently, this is the first time anyone has ever brought attention to the joke, because when you Google “family guy holocaust denial,” all you get is this other clip (which is actually really funny, but much more kosher than the above clip):
For the record, the creator of Family Guy, Seth MacFarlane, isn’t a Jew, although he is rather Jewy. Many of the shows writers are Jews, and it is constantly insulting Germans and Nazis.
