A western Pennsylvania boy who was just 14 when he fatally shot a woman who told him to “get a job” when he tried bum a cigarette from her boyfriend must spend 14 to 28 years in state prison.
The Beaver County Times reports Marcus Velasquez, who is now 15, was sentenced Friday by a county judge.
The Beaver Falls youth pleaded no contest to third-degree murder last month for the shooting that killed 22-year-old Kayla Peterson on Dec. 8, 2012.
