The witch hunt continues…

So after a few months of basically coming up with nothing of substance on the Trump administration, and instead making finding after finding implicating the Clintons and the Obama administration, the Mueller witch hunt is finally sinking its teeth into its first target.

Micheal Flynn didn’t really do anything illegal or even unusual, but simply forgot about his actions (or didn’t realize they were relevant) when questioned about it later. From what we can gather from the reports, he “downplayed” the importance of a meeting he had with a Russian ambassador, while “transcripts” of the conversation supposedly indicate it was a more important meeting.

NPR:

President Trump’s first national security adviser, Michael Flynn, pleaded guilty Friday to lying to the FBI about his contacts with the Russian ambassador during the transition, and he is cooperating with the special counsel’s investigation into the Kremlin’s interference in last year’s election.

Flynn, a retired lieutenant general who emerged as a top Trump adviser during the 2016 campaign, entered his guilty plea during a court hearing at a federal court Friday morning in Washington, D.C. Leaving the courthouse after around an hour, Flynn stepped into a waiting black SUV and did not answer questions shouted at him by a crowd of journalists on the sidewalk outside.

But in a statement sent by his lawyers, Flynn said he recognizes that the he has made mistakes.

“I recognize that the actions I acknowledged in court today were wrong, and, through my faith in God, I am working to set things right,” he said. “My guilty plea and agreement to cooperate with the Special Counsel’s Office reflect a decision I made in the best interests of my family and of our country. I accept full responsibility for my actions.”

The single count relates to Flynn’s discussions in late 2016 — during the transition period between Trump’s victory on Election Day and his inauguration in late January — with the Russian ambassador to the U.S. about sanctions the Obama administration had just imposed on Russia and about a U.N. Security Council resolution, according to court papers filed by the special counsel.

Flynn resigned from his White House post under pressure in February after allegations that he discussed sanctions with the former Russian ambassador, then misled Vice President Pence about the conversations.

There was nothing really unusual about someone in his position having a discussion with a Russian ambassador; the charge is purely about him not relating the story accurately to the FBI. The fact that they’re framing this in the context of “Russian meddling” into the election just goes to show that the only purpose of this whole thing is to make bad press for the Trump administration.

Moreover, the kikes really hated Flynn and wanted him off the administration at all costs. He was a prominent advocate of prosecuting Hilary Clinton, and regularly made strong anti-Islam comments. Exactly the kind of guy we would have wanted Trump to have by his side.
