The media has released a vague sketch of Andreas Lubitz, the co-pilot of Germanwings flight 9525 who apparently crashed the plane on purpose. Not really any information that seems to matter. He was 27, really liked flying and was described as normal.
One interesting fact is that the flight recorder was able to tell that he was silent and breathing normally as the plane went down, indicating that… I’m not sure what that indicates.
They are going through his apartment now, pulling out his computers and whatever. He doesn’t appear to have anything to do with Islam, and if he did he presumably would have made it known that he did.
The situation is bizarre and stupid. It appears to have been an act of mass murder for personal reasons, similar to a non-political mass shooting.
Lubitz, in the only photo that’s been released of him, is pictured in San Francisco. This is the homosexual capital of the world, and he looks very gay in the picture. A large percentage of serial killers are homosexualists.
It’s very sad. And very representative of the weirdness of the modern world, where so little appears to make any sense at all.
It’s hard to take it all in, sometimes.
