Sure, guys. Babies being cooked alive is always sad, even if it’s just rape larvae.

Nobody likes to hear about dead babies.

An Arizona teen and his 23-year-old girlfriend have been arrested for leaving a baby boy in a hot car for up to four hours, resulting in the tot’s death, authorities said.

Jose Garcia Jr., 18, the baby’s uncle, and Monique Avila were booked on one count of felony child abuse each for leaving 5-month-old Israel Avila in the backseat of a car parked outside an apartment complex in Peoria Sunday.

Avila discovered Israel when she was going to drive to pick up his mom from work around 2:45 p.m. Avila rushed little Israel inside a nearby apartment and called police and emergency personnel — but it was too late.

Responding EMT workers reported that the baby was not breathing when they arrived. They performed CPR and took him to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Temperatures in Peoria ranged from 77 to 84 degrees Sunday. Police said temperatures inside the car were most likely in the low 100s.

Avila and Garcia Jr. told police they were supposed to babysit the boy, but had forgotten him in the car after dropping his mother off at work.

“This serves as a tragic reminder to take that extra second to double check your vehicle to ensure that you are not leaving any children or pets behind,” the Peoria Police Department said in a statement.
