As was predicted, the alleged Russia investigation – which began based on the false testimony of the liar James Comey and a fake intelligence dossier produced by Hillary Clinton – is nothing more than a fishing expedition.
They charged Paul Manafort for crimes which had nothing at all to do with the Trump campaign, now they’re apparently looking at charging General Flynn with similarly unrelated crimes.
Except these crimes are way goofier.
They’re being reported by the fake news Wall Street Journal, but generally, these mainstream Jewish fake news outlets don’t make something up if it can easily be disproved (as would be the case if no charges came down on General Flynn).
Former White House National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and his son are reportedly being investigated by special counsel Robert Mueller in connection with an alleged multimillion-dollar plot to nab a Muslim cleric in the United States and deliver him to Turkey.
The purported incident and the Flynns’ potential involvement being part of Mueller’s Russia collusion-meddling probe was reported first by The Wall Street Journal.
People familiar with the investigation told the newspaper that Flynn, a retired Army lieutenant general, and son Michael Flynn Jr. were set to get as much as $15 million to deliver cleric Fethullah Gulen to the Turkish government.
Turkey officials were apparently anxious to get the cleric after President Recap Tayyip Erdogan tried and failed to get the United States to extradite Gulen, whom Turkish officials accuse of being a terrorist.
A Flynn spokesman declined to comment for the newspaper on the story.
On Sunday, the Turkish Embassy in Washington said Gulen was the “mastermind” behind an assassination attempt on Erdogen and a failed 2016 terror coup in which 250 people were killed in Turkey. However, embassy officials dismissed as “utterly false, ludicrous and groundless” news reports that the Turkish government tried illegally to get the cleric to Turkey.
This is a hoax on a number of different levels. Firstly, Turkey doesn’t want this guy – they want him to be a forever Goldstein-type boogieman.
But beyond that – it is simply insane that Turkey would try to hire a retired General – and his son – to do a kidnapping mission in the United States. That is just – whew – that is too much.
If they were going to try to have him pulled out of the US illegally, they would hire a Mexican drug cartel to ferry him across the border into Mexico where they could then fly him to Turkey. Maybe they would hire some kind of ex-Mossad agent or a private security firm of some sort. They would not hire a retired General. That makes zero sense.
Furthermore, the idea that Flynn would entertain such an idea is beyond the pale.
Maybe an email was sent to Flynn from some contact in the Turkish government who made the suggestion without the knowledge of higher-ups, or something. I could see that happening. Then they are investigating it just because they don’t have anything else to investigate. That’s all plausible.
However, if they actually try to bring charges on this – and we are hearing tell that some charges are about ready to come down on Flynn – that is going to be nuts.
