The Summit County jury deliberating in the trial for Shawn Ford has found the Akron man guilty on two counts of aggravated murder.
The panel began deciding the fate of the 18-year-old on Monday and reached a verdict two days later.
Ford was on trial for murdering his girlfriend’s parents, Jeffrey and Margaret Schobert, in their New Franklin home.
They were found beaten to death with a sledgehammer in their Rex Lake Drive home on April 2, 2013.

Ford was dating the Schobert’s adopted daughter, Chelsea. He is also accused of assaulting Chelsea on March 23, 2013 at a home in Akron.
Ford was indicted on numerous charges including aggravated murder, aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary,grand theft, and felonious assault.
Ford is now facing the death penalty.
It is unclear when that phase of the trial will start.
