Gregory Lewis, left, and accomplice Vaughn Felix.
Imagine the nerve of this white lad, refusing to get into a car with these two fine coloreds.
It sounds to me like he was infected by a particularly virulent strain of skin-hatred.
WFMZ:
Gregory Lewis, who prosecutors said was an accomplice during a cell phone store robbery turned homicide in 2016, has been found guilty on 56 charges.
Jurors in Northampton County had heard closing arguments Friday in the robbery and homicide trial.
His accomplice, Vaughn Felix, will spend life in prison, and the jury deliberated Lewis’ fate after more than a week of trial.
During the case, prosecutors told jurors Lewis and Felix planned on kidnapping Michael Davis, a Forks Township Verizon store employee, so they could use him to rob the store later. But, things didn’t go according to plan.
Davis, 25, wouldn’t get in the car with the men.
Felix admitted to shooting him in the face before both men fled.
Felix opened up about what happened as part of his plea deal with prosecutors. The deal takes the death penalty off the table for him.
Felix also testified that he and Lewis robbed other cell phone stores.
Lewis, however, did not take the stand in his defense. He’s pleading not guilty. If convicted, he could face life in prison without parole.
