tfw destiny unravels.
This… is very funny.
British Prime Minister Theresa May’s Conservatives have a lead of just one percentage point over the opposition Labour Party ahead of the June 8 election, according to a Survation poll conducted for the Mail on Sunday newspaper.
The poll showed said May’s lead had fallen sharply from a lead of 12 percentage points in the previous Survation/Mail on Sunday poll published on May 21.
In the new poll, support for the Conservatives stood at 40 percent, down six percentage points and Labour were on 39 percent, up five points.
I know some Brits have criticized me for endorsing Labour, but that’s partly due to me having not really explained why I’ve done this.
It is more than just “because it’s funny” (though that is a big part of it).
An openly anti-Israel, anti-Saudi, anti-ISIS PM of Britain would be better than a PM who is openly pro all of those things, all other things being equal. And basically, all other things are equal.
You’re going to get the continued mass immigration and attempts to thwart Brexit in either case. There is literally no difference whatsoever between Corbyn and May’s positions on these two issues.
And yes, I am aware that UKIP is on the ballot in some districts, but is the 2-3% they might get (without Farage leading them, that’s going to be the ceiling) worth making May PM instead of Corbyn?
I don’t personally think so.
I have always viewed leftist anti-Israel “anti-Semitism” as a positive phenomenon, and Corbyn would be the first aggressive “anti-Zionist” leader of a powerful Western country. So yes, I think this is worth sacrificing a “show of force” with a symbolic UKIP vote.
Honestly, UKIP was never that great anyway – they were a one issue party, and that one issue is already finished. They were never particularly hard on immigration. Paul Nuttall, the current leader of UKIP, has made some good statements about Islam, sure, but in the end, these statements are less important than the statements Corbyn has made about Jewish control over Western foreign policy. In my humble opinion.
Paul Nuttall: He’s no Nigel
If the BNP was still organized and working, then it is possible that a symbolic/protest vote for them would be worth it. But UKIP is not the BNP. They are the r/The_Donald of British politics, who had one issue that was really important to us, which is already finished.
UKIP was never a nationalist party, and the only reason I ever cared about them was Brexit.
So, though I have heard the dissenters, and I have considered their criticism, I have decided to continue to endorse Labour in this election.
If you can, help get Jeremy Corbyn elected.
Beyond the Middle East issues, Corbyn is also better on Russia.
And just generally, Corbyn is going to throw confusion into the global situation, in a way that is very good for us.
Honestly, I don’t even understand how there is much debate about this.
