Police have identified a suspect in connection with three hammer attacks on subway riders in Brooklyn and Queens recently, authorities said.
Investigators are looking for 28-year-old Anthony Coward in connection with the attacks Wednesday and May 4 at a station in Bedford-Stuyvesant and on March 5 at a stop in the Briarwood section of Queens.

In the latest attack, the suspect approached a 32-year-old man from behind at the Rockaway Avenue C train station and hit him on the head with a hammer.
The victim fell to the ground and the suspect demanded his money. Once the victim handed over the cash, the suspect left, police said.
In the May 4 attack, a 23-year-old man was trying to buy a MetroCard at the same C train station when he was hit on the back of the head with a hammer. Sources said after he fell, the suspect kept beating him.
