Okay so I’ve read it three times.
There isn’t anything here that wasn’t reported on DS over the last year and a half. Basically, the entire thing just admits that the DoJ and FBI were aware of the fact that the Steele Dossier (Pissgate) was being funded by Clinton (and that Steele himself was an obsessive anti-Trumper) from the beginning and issued warrants to use extreme electronic spying techniques on Donald Trump’s team based on that file, while never mentioning that they knew the political motives behind the pissfile.
I mean – okay.
We had already assumed that they knew that because how could they not know that?
I don’t think it was known that Bruce Ohr’s wife was an employee of Fusion GPS, and that is damning. But of course this is all incestuous.
But it is still important. It basically just verifies once and for all everything that we here at DS have been reporting on for the last year and a half. The collaboration with a Jewish journalist (Michael Isakoff) is nice to have in there. Though I wish they would have published a list of journalists involved in this conspiracy – obviously, Comey, McCabe and an entire list of people working for DoJ and FBI have been communicating with journalists this entire time.
Bottom line is this proves that the entire Russian hoax was a conspiracy from even before Trump was elected.
I think this is more than enough to bring charges against both the FBI and the DoJ AND to end the anti-Trump witch hunt once and for all.
So, even though there is nothing exciting for us in the know here, it’s a good thing.

So apparently this was released to journalists first, and they’re reporting on it before the actual text is released.
I’m not impressed by that.

The House Intelligence Committee has released its controversial memo outlining alleged abuses of secret surveillance by the FBI and Justice Department in the Trump-Russia investigation. Here are some key points:
* The Steele dossier formed an essential part of the initial and all three renewal FISA applications against Carter Page.
* Andrew McCabe confirmed that no FISA warrant would have been sought from the FISA Court without the Steele dossier information.
* The political origins of the Steele dossier were known to senior DOJ and FBI officials, but excluded from the FISA applications.
* DOJ official Bruce Ohr met with Steele beginning in the summer of 2016 and relayed to DOJ information about Steele’s bias. Steele told Ohr that he, Steele, was desperate that Donald Trump not get elected president and was passionate about him not becoming president.
The FBI and Justice Department mounted a monthslong effort to keep the information outlined in the memo out of the House Intelligence Committee’s hands. Only the threat of contempt charges and other forms of pressure forced the FBI and Justice to give up the material.
It definitely looks like it says what we were hoping it would say.
Just that little summary shows that it was a gigantic political witch hunt that had infected the entirety of the DoJ and FBI.
But I want the full thing.
I have heard it literally names journalists involved in this plot, which was my deepest wish.
I will update this when the full text comes forth.
Charges against the FBI and DoJ may be announced later today.
