Sayyid Coggins has been arrested as an accessor- after-the-fact in the murder of Justin Downey in New Bedford.

A suspect has been arrested in connection to the April 15th death of Justin Downey in New Bedford.

District Attorney Sam Sutter announced that Sayyid Coggins, 36, of Providence, was arrested in Stone Mountain, Georgia early Wednesday morning by U.S.Marshals.

Coggins is charged in Massachusetts with being an accessory to murder-after the fact.

Firefighters attempt to put the blaze out.

Around 8:30 a.m. on April 15th police and fire officials were alerted by neighbors who saw smoke coming from a home at 55 Rounds Street. Justin Downey was found dead in a second floor bedroom as firefighters battled the fire.

Coggins appeared in federal court in Atlanta, Georgia earlier today and waived rendition back to Massachusetts to face the accessory to murder charge.
