How do you go from full-Nazi to loving Jews? I guess shekels can be even dearer friends…
We’ve been steadfast here at the Daily Stormer at denouncing the current Hungarian PM Victor Orban as a shill who makes nice speeches to placate his people, while steering clear of the kinds of policies that can save Hungary in the long term – he is staunchly pro-EU, which will lead to Hungary getting invaded in the end either way, once the country is fully integrated.
The rationale is that Orban is preventing the rise of true nationalists, specifically the Jobbik party, who seemed like legit and hardcore types. They certainly did some great stuff in the past, at least.
But it’s looking like the leadership has been overdosing on bluepills lately, and doing some rather deplorable PR efforts.
Hungary’s once virulently anti-Semitic Jobbik party tried to show a more tolerant face this year by sending Hannukah greetings to local Jews. Neither their rabbi nor some Jobbik members appreciated the gesture.
The main opposition group, which has been moving away from its earlier far-right stands, was rebuked both by Rabbi Slomo Koves and by one of its Budapest party chapters after sending its greetings for the Jewish holiday being celebrated this week.
Jobbik chairman Gabor Vona defended the gesture as an effort to reconcile Christians and Jews in Hungary and said party members who loudly denounced it would be disciplined.
I’m not sure what’s happening here. Gabor Vona is the same leader they’ve had for 10 years. So it’s not like they suddenly chose some PR cuck to “clean up” their party.
But I guess now the same party that compiled lists of subversive Jews is disciplining bigots within it’s ranks.
“Hans, I’ve heard you said mean things about the Jews? That kind of language has no place in the Nazi party. You’re demoted.”
Although the party does appear to be softening its strident nationalist tone, its recent history of anti-Semitic tactics – such as denouncing Israel and demanding lists of Hungarian Jews who pose a “national security risk” – seems too fresh to be overcome easily.
Yeah, I mean, did they expect the Jews to be like, “oh, you’re good goyim now, let us shower you in money and positive media coverage”?
The only fruits borne of cucking are scorn and contempt. Neither forgiveness nor support will result from it.
You’d think all nationalists had learned this lesson by now. Sigh.
In his greeting for Hannukah, also known as the Festival of Lights, Vona wrote: “We wish this time of reflection and joy offers a chance of spiritual renewal and, like the celebration of light, emanates real brightness that can show the way.”
I cringed.
Listen. This is not the time to be softening your stance. Even your mainstream conservative party is hardening it’s orientation to stay relevant in the current political climate. If you’re just offering the same stale rhetoric of “conciliation” and “philo-Semitism” as the party in power, why would the people support you?
Vona told the daily Magyar Nemzet on Friday that the response by the Vecses Jobbik chapter was unacceptable and he would expel the members who posted the slur. “Nobody who talks like that has a place in this party,” he said.
To Koves, Vona wrote that he wanted to “build bridges not walls” and vowed to work for reconciliation between Hungarian Christians and Jews.
Wat.
Is this actually happening?
The leader of what is in effect the Hungarian Nazi party is using a Hillary Clinton slogan?
Maybe it’s time to put away the armbands and go for tampons, Mr. Vona.
Unless this is part of some elaborate prank or incredibly “meta” trolling, this is an extremely negative direction.
