The Israelis are nervous that American forces won’t be fighting endless wars for them in Syria.
There’s no doubt that the Israelis were greatly pleased with the coalition air strikes against Syria. Despite that, they are concerned that American forces will eventually be leaving the region. It seems obvious that the Jews will never be satisfied unless the United States is fighting perpetual war on their behalf.
While Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu firmly backed the US-led airstrikes on Syria in the wake of its use of chemical weapons, Israeli security chiefs made clear on Saturday night that Israel fears the Trump Administration will now consider that its work in Syria is done, and leave Israel alone to face the dangers posed by Iran’s growing military presence in Syria.
Israel’s defense chiefs are also reportedly worried that Russia’s President Vladimir Putin, seeing Syria under US-led attack, may provide President Bashar Assad with more advanced air defense systems — which could reduce Israel’s air supremacy in the skies of Syria and Lebanon. A Russian general indicated such an arms supply was possible in comments on Saturday.
Israel’s Channel 10 news reported on Saturday that Israel and the US held numerous discussions ahead of the US-led strike, that Netanyahu’s national security adviser spoke to British and French officials, and that these talks reflected Israel’s profound concern over the Iranian military’s growing involvement and presence in Syria.
It does look as if the Russians are going to use the recent attack as justification to provide Syria with more advanced air defense systems. If this happens, it will make it much more difficult for the Israelis to attack Syria with impunity.
And obviously if American forces pull out of Eastern Syria, it will be much easier for the Iranians to increase their military presence in the country. It would effectively create a Shiite belt across the Middle East right up to the border of Israel.
This means the Jews need to come up with a plan. The most obvious plan would be for them to stage a false flag chemical weapons attack on the United States and blame it on Bashar Al-Assad. After all, the United States has attacked Syria every time videos allegedly showing gassed babies have been broadcast on television. The facts and evidence of the situation don’t even seem to matter.
It’s also worth noting that Nikki Haley was on Fox News this morning talking about how America could be attacked with chemical weapons if we’re not smart. In many ways, her comments sounded like a veiled threat. It sounded as if what she was really saying is that Jews would attack America with chemical weapons if American forces don’t stay in Syria.
The Jews are definitely concerned about the current geopolitical situation. Especially considering that the world’s view of Israel has grown increasingly negative. What they’ve been doing in the Gaza Strip over the past few weeks certainly hasn’t helped their public relations either. Therefore, it is not unreasonable to think that they will make even bolder moves regardless of the consequences involved.
