OH YES.
Trump is listening to us and he is speaking on our behalf.
Not only did he address the caravan issue, he is now saying he’s going to do EXACTLY what we demanded and send the military to the border.
It’s like we should have been organizing and campaigning for specific demands this whole time… over the last 24 hours, it’s felt like he was just waiting for us to make these demands.
Because as soon as we did he’s just like “YEAH OKAY SURE NO PROBLEM LADS YOU’RE GREAT AMERICANS AND I WORK FOR YOU.”
President Donald Trump said Tuesday he wants the military to deploy troops along the U.S.-Mexico border to protect the nation until a wall is built at the southern border.
“We are going to be guarding our border with our military. That’s a big step,” Trump said during a session at the White House with the leaders of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. “We cannot have people flowing into our country illegally, disappearing and, by the way, never showing up for court.”
A senior official at the Department of Homeland Security said Tuesday that putting troops on the U.S.-Mexico border had been under discussion but that no roll-out had been planned because of unresolved policy issues. The official said Secretary of Defense James Mattis did not want armed troops at the border.
Spokespeople for the Pentagon and Mattis did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
This is like, totally surreal.
I mean – ask and you shall receive.
I’m in shock.
I think part of it is that we stuck by him through the Russia ordeal, kept supporting him, kept meming for him, and now he’s saying “okay guys, I’ve got a little bit of breathing room here – what do you need? Need the caravan stopped? Okay sure. Need the military on the border? I’m on it.”
This is amazing.
He is responding DIRECTLY TO THE ALT-RIGHT.
I’m feeling right now like I did when he refused to denounce the troll army to that rat Wolf Blitzer.
Or when he told that Jew that the calls to the Jewish centers were a false flag.
I’m feeling an extreme rush of love for My President.
Of Course…
This might not happen. I’m not really sure how it even can happen, to be honest, because posse comitatus means he cannot deploy the military inside the US border. And I’m not sure he has the ability to deploy the National Guard, or if that is only the governor of the state that is allowed to do it.
Abbot in Texas wouldn’t have an issue doing it, and in fact he already has some Texas National Guard at the border. But Jerry Brown isn’t going to do it, and this latest caravan was planning to go through San Diego.
Of course, Trump could deploy the military inside of Mexico – no issue there.
We’ll see.
The big thing is just that he said it. That he is at least hearing us, and making it clear that he is hearing us.
Hearing us isn’t enough, but it is a big deal.
Make sure to call the White House and encourage him, saying you support his plan to deploy the military to stop the invasion.
