Jewish Secretary of State John Kerry caused some measure of controversy yesterday when he declared that Israel risks becoming an “apartheid state”.
From the Daily Beast:
If there’s no two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict soon, Israel risks becoming “an apartheid state,” Secretary of State John Kerry told a room of influential world leaders in a closed-door meeting Friday.
Senior American officials have rarely, if ever, used the term “apartheid” in reference to Israel, and President Obama has previously rejected the idea that the word should apply to the Jewish state. Kerry’s use of the loaded term is already rankling Jewish leaders in America—and it could attract unwanted attention in Israel, as well…
Kerry also repeated his warning that a failure of Middle East peace talks could lead to a resumption of Palestinian violence against Israeli citizens.
The first thing to note about Kerry’s statements is that he is speaking from a pro-Jewish position. He wants Israel to avoid apartheid, because he thinks it would be better for the Jews to avoid the violence that would come from a failed “peace process”. When Jews and liberals condemned South African apartheid, it wasn’t out of fear that White South Africans might be harmed.
Smelling the opportunity to ingratiate himself with his Jewish masters, Republican Senator Ted Cruz immediately attacked Kerry for his “offensive” remarks, and demanded his resignation as Secretary of State.
Cruz then bizarrely stated that:
The notion that Israel would go down that path and so face the same condemnation that faced South Africa is unconscionable…The United States should be aggressively asserting that Israel can never be made an apartheid nation while America exists and stands beside her. Because America will be with Israel regardless of the status of the diplomatic process.
Cruz seems to be saying that Israel will never be labeled an apartheid state, and that America will support Israel no matter what. Since America will never accuse Israel of being an apartheid state, this will never be the case, even when it obviously is.
In essence, Democrats are worried that Israel becoming an apartheid state would be bad for the Jews, while Republicans are worried that Israel being called an apartheid state would be bad for the Jews.
Republicans and Democrats in America both serve the Jews. They bicker with each other over which side helps the Jews more. They are like two court lackeys trying to win the favor of their Emperor with flattery and bribery. While this activity means that the two lackeys might get nasty with each other, they will unite when it comes to funding their sovereign’s activity and bullying his enemies.
