The Jew Mayor of Kharkov, Gennady Kernes, has been shot in the back by unidentified gunmen.
RT:
At about 11:30 am (8:30 GMT) local time Kernes was taken to the local hospital. The City Hall’s website says that doctors are fighting to save his life.
“They shot him in the back from the forest,” Kernes’s friend Yury Sapronov told Vesti Ukrainy news outlet. “The injury is serious. His lung is pierced and his liver pierced all the way through.”
Kernes was shot at either while jogging, cycling or taking a dip in a spring, according to conflicting media reports.
The doctors are currently performing the surgery, Yury Sidorenko from mayor’s press service told RT.
Sidorenko said he did not have any information about whether Kernes had regained consciousness.
He declined to comment about who was behind the shooting. He only said that Kernes “has been recently receiving a lot of threats from various people.”
A former chief of organized crime in the region, Kernes has been mayor since 2010. He supported the Orange Revolution in 2004, and has voiced undying support for the Maidan, despite having originally claimed to support Yanukovych.
It’s difficult to say who benefits from this. His obvious enemy is the pro-Russian separatist faction, but they wouldn’t want to be painted as murderers or at least not back-shooters. So, it could be a false flag on the part of Pravy Sektor – but no, it couldn’t be, because they would never harm a Jew.
So, I’m betting that it was a lone nut of some sort, probably on the pro-Russian side. The place is the Wild Wild West, and things like this just happen there.
It will be interesting to see the upshot.
