Tonight, I listened to Carolyn Yeager’s roundtable with the cast of the White Network, and Tanstaafl commented on how the Jews are not circling the wagons to defend the Jew pervert Woody Allen like they defend most all other Jewish criminals. He gave the reasons, which I agree with, that Allen bred outside of the tribe (which is a bigger sin for a male Jew than a female) and is considered a “self-hating” Jew for his position on Israel.
Shortly after I finished listening, I found this an article in the Jewish Daily Forward defending Allen.
After beginning with the standard “we have no way of knowing, and we shouldn’t jump to conclusions,” Jew Joshua Furst writes:
Sometimes, like when Emile Zola shamed the French government into pardoning Alfred Dreyfus, the accusation is proven true and sometimes, like in the McMartin Preschool trials, it’s not. When there’s no proof, we let our biases decide the verdict. And of course, we all agree, child molestation is a bad thing. But so is a lynch mob.
Piety and righteousness are no assurance of truth or rightness. And when we as a society decide that we must have our sacrifice, tarred and feathered and hanging in the town square, we become the thing we’re fighting against.
I’m not taking sides. I have no idea what happened in that attic. I’m just saying that, as this narrative continues to build, I can’t help but think of Shylock, of Leo Frank. I’m saying that maybe the volume should be turned down a little.
Because, if the accusations against Allen are not true, he becomes as much a victim as his accuser. And we, the public, become the victimizer.
Of course, the whole thing becomes about the Jewish persecution complex, because a Jew is on trial – only in the court of public opinion, mind you – for an alleged crime against a goyim, and all Jews have an instinct to defend him, regardless of whether or not he is guilty or not.
Woody Allen is not an individual pervert who happens to be a Jew, he is a Jew, and as such, he is all Jews. The fact that any goyim would have the nerve to suggest a Jew did something wrong means we are only one step away from gas chambers, skin lampshades and human soap.
A Jew over at Slate, Robert Weide, has also written a defense of Allen. His was decried with “such and such rape culture so and so patriarchy” (funny to see the Jews social justice gibberish backfiring on them – maybe they should have been more careful about projecting their own behavior onto us when they were building up the case for the destruction of Western Civilization).
If this drama doesn’t die down soon, I am going to wager that more Jews are going to come out in defense of Woody Allen.
