As I’ve noted before, whenever Europeans try to defend their own ethnic existence, Jews mobilise against them and play the Hitler card. There has always been a mostly covert Jewish uneasiness about Trump. Now it is coming out into the open.
Mr Trump, who has taken a substantial lead in the 12-state primary vote on ‘Super Tuesday’, came under heavy criticism this week after he failed to disavow the support of former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke during a CNN interview on Sunday.
The billionaire businessman has made racist remarks about Muslims and Mexicans during his campaign. United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism chief executive Rabbi Steven Wernick said that “any candidate who… cannot bring himself to condemn a racist group is a danger to our democracy”, adding that he could not “remain silent”.
… The Emergency Committee for Israel, a pro-Israel organisation led by prominent neoconservative William Kristol, released a video online on Sunday entitled “Trump loves dictators”. The 30-second video shows Mr Trump agreeing that the world would be “100 per cent” better with former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein and ex-Libya dictator Muammar Gaddafi in power, then praising Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Mr Kristol wrote in a statement: “If you’re pro-Israel, you shouldn’t be pro-Trump. Apologists for dictators aren’t reliable friends of the Jewish state.”
What is the response of the Counterjewhad sites to this? Have they deigned to mentioned it at all? You bang on about Muslims. Here comes a guy who is going to keep them out of the US. You couldn’t realistically hope for anything better than that from mainstream politics currently. Yet the Jews are mobilising in force against him. What do you have to say about it Pamela, Baron, Spencer, et al?
It’s actually worth browsing the American newspaper websites to see some of the amusingly hysterical anti-Trump rhetoric now coming out from Jewish commentators.

While comparisons between Donald Trump and Mussolini or Hitler are overwrought, Trump’s rise does illustrate how democratic processes can lose their way and turn dangerously toxic when there is intense economic frustration and widespread apprehension about the future. The possible election of Donald Trump as president is the greatest present threat to the prosperity and security of the United States. I have had a strong point of view on each of the last ten presidential elections, but never before had I feared that what I regarded as the wrong outcome would in the long sweep of history risk grave damage to the American project.

A few months back, pondering the ghastly parlor game of choosing between President Donald Trump and President Ted Cruz, I opted — reluctantly, disbelievingly — for Trump, as the lesser of two dangers.
Yes, the real estate tycoon is a know-nothing, uninterested-in-learning-anything buffoon. Also: a demagogue and a bully whose emotional instability would pose a threat to national security.
… Since that column in mid-December, Trump has proved himself to be even less knowledgeable and even more unhinged. His election would constitute a grave threat to American values and, potentially, American democracy.

The Republicans’ creation will soon be let loose on the land, leaving to others the job the party failed to carry out. For this former Republican, and perhaps for others, the only choice will be to vote for Hillary Clinton. The party cannot be saved, but the country still can be.

A number of prominent Jewish Republicans are among dozens of conservatives in the U.S. national security community who have come out against Donald Trump, the front-runner in the race for the Republican presidential nomination.
The letter posted Wednesday by some 60 influential conservatives in think tanks and alumni of Republican administrations lists the ways they say the billionaire real estate magnate would “make America less safe,” including “hateful, anti-Muslim rhetoric” that “undercuts the seriousness of combating Islamic radicalism.” It also accuses him of contempt for neighbors such as Mexico and allies like Japan while admiring dictators like Russia’s Vladimir Putin.
The letter says Trump is feckless. “He swings from isolationism to military adventurism within the space of one sentence,” it said. “As committed and loyal Republicans, we are unable to support a Party ticket with Mr. Trump at its head,” said the letter posted on “War on The Rocks,” a conservative foreign policy and national security news and opinion website. “We commit ourselves to working energetically to prevent the election of someone so utterly unfitted to the office.”
A good portion of the signatories are Jewish members of the conservative national community, including Michael Chertoff, the homeland security secretary under President George W. Bush; Max Boot, a senior foreign policy adviser to Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., when he was the 2008 GOP presidential candidate; Eric Edelman, an undersecretary of defense under George W. Bush; and Dov Zakheim, a deputy undersecretary of defense under President Ronald Reagan. Eliot Cohen, a counselor in the State Department under George W. Bush, initiated the letter.
The signatories, notably, include both realists such as Zakheim and neoconservatives such as Boot, representing two strands of Republican foreign policy thinking that are often at odds. Jewish Republicans have been unsettled by the rise of Trump, who has said he will remain neutral when he approaches peacemaking between Israel and the Palestinians.
