Three Jews were killed and a 15-year-old left on the verge of death Sunday by an Antisemitic gunman who at two Jewish facilities in Overland Park, a suburb of Kansas City.
The shooter is in his seventies, and has been arrested.
Two people died at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City campus and one was killed at Village Shalom, a retirement community that is several blocks away from the center, the Overland Park city spokesman said.
A 15-year-old boy who was brought from the scene is in critical condition, Overland Park Medical Center spokeswoman Christine Hamele said.
In a press conference held shortly after the shooting, a police spokesman said the suspect, a man in his seventies, was not from Kansas.
Rabbi Herbert Mandl, who works with the Overland Park police, told CNN that the gunman asked people if they were Jewish.
“If you answered yes, you were shot,” Mandl said.
The man taken into custody was apprehended at a nearby elementary school and was heard yelling “heil Hitler,” according to KSHB-TV.
The shooting occurred in the Lewis and Shirley White Theater inside the center, according to an Overland Park Fire Department spokesman. Among the dead were a teenager auditioning for a JCC show, and a resident of the retirement community.
A police officer outside the B’nai Jehudah congregation said units have been sent to other Jewish facilities as a precaution.
Apparently, they had naked babies there as well, which is… weird.

St. Louis resident Kristy Straeb, 47, said her sister-in-law Stacie Ventimiglia was at the center’s pool with a friend and four little girls under the age of 7 for a swimming lesson, which ended about 12:45 p.m. Straeb said they decided at the last minute to get the girls showered.
“They had just gotten the four babies naked, and somebody yelled into the family locker room, ‘We have an active shooter situation. You need to get safe,'” Straeb said.The women got into a cubby area and were “ready to push the little girls into 4 empty lockers,” Straeb said. She noted that the women and their children were not harmed and left the center about 2:45 p.m. Sunday.
I want to say that I am against this. It makes us look like kooks, proves Jewish points, and any perceived positive effect – a few less Jews – is hardly relevant.
Though I am somewhat surprised this doesn’t happen more often. Clearly, anyone with two brain cells to rub together that isn’t completely brainwashed can see that the Jews are responsible for all our problems, and a percentage of these people are inevitably going to become unhinged.
And I don’t know how the Jews themselves can expect anything other than this, with what they do to us. If the blacks were capable of figuring out what was going on, they would probably do this daily, instead of attacking Whites quite so often.
Anyway, just to be clear, I don’t think anyone should shoot at Jews, and that is something we would never encourage at this website.
