It is absolutely normal and natural to require proof of citizenship to vote. Allowing random people to walk in and vote, while you’ve got tens of millions of illegal immigrants (and other noncitizens) living in this country is completely and totally insane. It should clearly be federal law that you have to prove citizenship to vote. But instead, it is federal law that you can’t require people to prove citizenship to vote?
The only reasoning for this is that you want to ensure that noncitizens can vote.
And then the slut judge makes a point to try to humiliate Kobach for even suggesting that illegal immigrants shouldn’t vote?

A federal judge ruled Monday that Kansas cannot require documentary proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote, finding such laws violate the constitutional right to vote in a ruling with national implications.
In an extraordinary rebuke, U.S. District Judge Julie Robinson also ordered Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach to complete an additional six hours of legal education on top of other requirements before he can renew his law license for the upcoming year. She imposed the sanction for his numerous disclosure violations.

The 118-page decision came in two consolidated cases challenging a Kansas voter registration law requiring people to provide documents such as a birth certificate, U.S. passport or naturalization papers.
The decision strikes down the Kansas proof-of-citizenship registration law and makes permanent an earlier injunction that had temporarily blocked it.
Kobach did not immediately respond to the Associated Press for comment.

Reality itself appears to be imploding in on itself in some kind of black hole singularity situation. It’s very frustrating.
The lead case filed by the ACLU on behalf of several named voters and the League of Women Voters is centered on the National Voter Registration Act, commonly known as the Motor Voter Law, which allows people to register to vote when applying for a driver’s license.
ACLU (Jews) and the League of Women Voters (women, probably also Jews) allied to conspire with a negro Judge to allow illegal immigrants to vote in Kansas.
Jews, nor women, nor blacks were even allowed to vote when this country was founded. Now they tell white men what they’re allowed to do.

The case required Kobach to prove that Kansas has a significant problem with noncitizens registering to vote.
Robinson found the Kansas law disproportionately impacts qualified voters, while only nominally preventing noncitizen voter registration.
Good God.
Isn’t any noncitizen voting a massive issue? And how can someone who can’t manage to produce a document proving citizenship expected to be a voter in the first place? If you are a citizen and you can’t produce a document showing that you’re a citizen, how can you even drive yourself to the polling station?
How can you operate the machine, and figure out who you’re actually voting for?
This gets us to the whole “universal suffrage” issue – wtf even is this thing? People can’t manage to get a state ID or find their birth certificate, but they are capable of deciding the direction of the government?
Always remember that in the original America, voters had to be:
- White
- Male
- Land owning
That was the original plan as outlined by the people who wrote the Constitution. But now it is “unconstitutional” for people to be expected to be able to show an ID at the voting booth?
“It also may have the inadvertent effect of eroding, instead of maintaining confidence in the electoral system given the confusing, evolving, and inconsistent enforcement of (documentary proof of citizenship) laws since 2013,” she wrote.

Kobach, a conservative Republican who is running for governor, was a leading source for Trump’s unsubstantiated claim that millions of immigrants in the country illegally may have voted in the 2016 election.
“This decision is a stinging rebuke of Kris Kobach, and the centerpiece of his voter suppression efforts: a show-me-your-papers law that has disenfranchised tens of thousands of Kansans,” Dale Ho, director of the ACLU’s Voting Rights Project, said in news release. “That law was based on a xenophobic lie that noncitizens are engaged in rampant election fraud.”

Always goes back to “muh ebil nazis” – all of this stuff. The whole basis of modern western civilization is that Nazis were evil, so everything they did was evil, so everything that good people do must be the opposite of everything the Nazis did.
In the end… Kobach’s loss here and the publicity around it is good for his gubernatorial run.
Honestly, I would just like to see him as head of Homeland Security.
Kirstjen’s thing yesterday was okay, but overall she’s been not great.
Kobahch at DHS and Giuliani at DOJ are both appointments that Trump could get approval on after we win in 2018.
Assuming a hard win in November – and I am assuming that at this point – he’s going to be able to appoint whoever he wants to cabinet positions and get them approved by the Senate.
I’m hoping Kanye West can be made Ambassador to the UN.
Because besides Bolton and Sessions, Nimrata really is the weakest link.
