Andrew Edie was shot dead inside his RV when he went to answer the door.

A Tampa man suspected of murder turned himself in to deputies today, more than a month after another man was shot to death at a house in Gibsonton.

Clayton Adrian White, 23, is charged with first-degree murder in the July 16 shooting of Andrew Edie, 48, at 11201 Inglewood Drive in Gibsonton, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.

A woman who was at the house told deputies that someone knocked on the front door and when Edie answered he was shot once, the sheriff’s office said. In July, deputies said the shooting was apparently “drug related.”

Detectives had been actively searching for White, which led to him surrendering at the jail, the sheriff’s office said.
