So, here’s the deal: Meghan Markle understands that she is racially humiliating the British people by marrying their Prince. However, she is not apeish enough to really rub their faces in this shame – she’s got bleached skin and plastic surgery, plus she’s half-white.
So she is insisting her grossly apeish mother be a part of the wedding, just to remind them.
New rules. The royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is just months away, and the couple are shaking things up in a big way. A source close to the pair tells Us Weekly that the actress wants her mother Doria Ragland to be the one to give her away.
The Suits actress, 36, is breaking tradition and wants her mom to walk her down the aisle instead of her father, Thomas Markle. “With the wedding, they both want to do things their way. While they will always be mindful of traditions and the views of their elders, the day is ultimately about them and what they want to do,” the insider tells Us. “The day of the wedding itself will certainly hold a few unconventional surprises. Don’t expect a royal wedding by numbers. They want to involve their friends and family as much in as much as possible throughout the day.”
By denying her father this right, she is also making a very aggressive statement about the way she racially identifies.
Just the basic act itself is saying “I don’t care about your nation’s traditions,” outside of race. Furthermore, Africa is a matriarchal society, where the mother plays the primary role in the child’s life – the father generally plays no role. We see this very much in modern African-American family dynamics.
Of course, no one but me is going to explain this in such a way. Instead, it’s just “wow, how quirky! interesting!”
But racial dynamics underline everything that happens in modern Western society. And everything makes more sense when you look at it that way.
