Mexico Threatens to Flood the US with Drugs as Revenge

Talk about an escalation.

Mexico has just threatened to flood the United States with drugs as revenge on the country for electing Donald Trump.

Appearing on CNN with Fareed Zakaria, the former Secretary of Foreign Affairs in Mexico, Jorge Castañeda Gutman, made the following statement:

Mexico has a lot of negotiating chips in this matter, Fareed, but it also has measures we could take in other areas. For example, the drugs that come through Mexico from South America, or the drugs that are produced here in Mexico all go to the United States. This is not our problem. We have been cooperating with the United States for many years on these issues because they’ve asked us to and because we have a friendly, trustful relationship. If that relationship disappears, the reasons for cooperation also disappear.

That is straight-up “we will flood you with drugs.”

The Mexicans are going all in like the Jews, and this is intensely stupid.

If there is one thing about Trump we can all be certain of, it’s that he likes conflict. He isn’t threatened easily. And he will call your bluff.

Of course, this isn’t an official statement as the man who made it is no longer serving in an official capacity. But I wouldn’t be surprised if we hear this repeated, probably from Vincente Fox.

Trump is just looking for an excuse for a lot of different things, and his enemies seem intent on providing him with these needed excuses.

Here’s the full clip.
