Multiple Charges for Black Pimp in Multi-Agency Human Trafficking Investigation

A Wilmington man is facing human trafficking charges after befriending young girls and forcing them to have sex for money.

Randolph Johnson Spain, 24, is accused of human trafficking charges that stretch up and down the east coast. He is known to earn the trust of young women, taking them out of the state, and force them into prostitution.

The multi-agency investigation is the first of it’s kind in New Hanover County. Spain is currently in the New Hanover County Jail under a $1.2 million bond.

A spokeswoman with the Wilmington Police Department said the case started out as a domestic violence case and developed into something a lot bigger. The case spreads over multiple jurisdictions, and the WPD is part of the investigation.

Spain is charged with:

  • Sexual servitude of a minor
  • Promotion of prostitution of a minor
  • Human trafficking of a minor
  • Human trafficking of adult x2
  • Identity theft
  • Obstruction of justice
  • Intimidating a witness
  • Larceny
  • Unlawful obtaining of a credit card
  • Second degree trespass
  • Communicating threats
  • Assault on a female
