he primary suspect in the 1993 disappearance of a woman has been arrested in the 2018 death of his wife.

Gregory Agnew, 50, was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals about noon Thursday, July 26 at his Ypsilanti Township home, Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Derrick Jackson confirmed Friday.

He is expected to be arraigned Friday afternoon on a charge of open murder in the death of 49-year-old Martha Agnew, Jackson said.

The couple was in the midst of a divorce when she was found dead by her daughter about 1:45 p.m. Feb. 17 in a home in the 600 block of Eugene Street in Ypsilanti Township. Gregory Agnew was with the daughter at the time, his attorney previously said.
