The son of a Louisville woman charged with her longtime boyfriend’s death said his mother is not a monster.
Louisville Metro police said Brenda Porter, 56, bludgeoned David Burch, 69, to death.
“I just immediately broke down into tears because it’s a sad situation on both ends for me,” said Poter’s son, Chad. “It’s hard for me. I’m at a loss for words. I haven’t been getting much sleep, eating much. It’s all I think about.”
Porter said his mother and her boyfriend had been together for years.
He said Burch was like a stepfather to him.
