Negro Arrested for Fatal Shooting of White Pizza Delivery Driver

Domino’s pizza delivery driver Michael Price was shot to death inside his car and as usual, a Black suspect has been arrested.

New Orleans police Wednesday morning (April 1) said they have arrested a man in connection with the fatal shooting of Domino’s pizza delivery driver Michael Price.

According to NOPD, Michael Anthony Portis, 24, was arrested at 7 a.m. Wednesday in the 4900 block of Pauger Street. He will be charged with first degree murder, authorities said.

Police did not release any information about what led the investigation to Portis. A reward of more than $13,000 was offered for information about the fatal shooting, but police did not say if the money played a role in the apprehension.

Price was shot to death inside his car March 24 in the Lower 9th Ward. Police found his body shortly before 1 a.m. in the 6100 block of North Roman Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
