You know, I find this really shocking.
And I have to tell you. The main reason I find it so shocking is that no one could have predicted it.
An Uber driver kidnapped a blacked out passenger he picked up at a bar and took her to a Maryland motel instead of her home, cops said.
Westagne Pierre, 29, drove 10 miles with an intoxicated woman from a District of Columbia bar where her friends hailed the ride.
The driver, from Greenbelt, was arrested Thursday after authorities reviewed surveillance footage showing Pierre carrying the woman into a room at a College Park motel.
WTTG-TV reports Pierre spent some time in the motel room before leaving.
Police believe he then used her credit card at a nearby 7-Eleven, according to the TV station.
He faces kidnapping and assault charges after the incident.
