FCC Chairman Ajit Pai a proud individual of American Indian heritage has been the target of racist abuse stemming from his decision to repeal net neutrality. We must not let this hate go on.

As a result of the Federal Communications Commission deciding to end net neutrality regulations, a disturbing trend has emerged. Numerous hate filled individuals supporting net neutrality have made some very hateful and bigoted remarks towards FCC Chairman Ajit Pai. I will personally not stand for this type of vile racism against individuals of American Indian descent. It does not represent who we are as Americans.

The hate went into maximum overdrive following what I found to be a very cool and hip public service announcement by Pai.

The hate directed towards Pai in the comment section of this video is truly shocking.

Below is just a small sampling of the bigotry and hate expressed towards Pai. I have no doubt that this hate largely stems from his American Indian heritage. The debate over net neutrality is just an excuse for them to express their shocking hatred of American Indians. They’re obviously angry that a strong and empowered American Indian man like Pai has achieved such success in his amazing career.

Pretty shocking racism, is it not? How is it possible that we live in a society where people feel that they can express such open hostility and hate towards individuals of American Indian descent?

The fact that the entire comment section is filled with people posting racial slurs and profanity is proof of their racism. If they were really angry at Pai over his stance on net neutrality, they would have offered a logical argument as to why they support net neutrality. Since they did not do this, we now know conclusively that net neutrality supporters are racist against American Indians.

I call on all Americans to stand up against this vile and despicable hate. The best way to do that is to support Pai’s repeal of net neutrality. Repealing net neutrality will teach these horrible racists that bigotry and hate never wins.
