Lamontez Sykes.
Well.
Here’s another unpredictable twist that no one saw coming.
Metro Police charged a Nashville man Monday in connection to a homicide investigation that was not what it at first seemed.
Lamontez Sykes, 22, has been charged with criminal homicide in connection with the April 23 shooting death of his girlfriend, Taylor Miles, 20.
MNPD reported Monday that Sykes originally told them Miles died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in her apartment on Star Boulevard.
“Evidence says otherwise,” MNPD said in a social media post.
It was not immediately clear if Sykes had legal representation. He remained in police custody Monday night in lieu of $1 million bond.
Taylor Miles.
