Vijay Bundhun was sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court for multiple sexual attacks on vulnerable victims including at least one rape.

Vijay Bundhun, 42, took advantage of his victims “when they were at their most vulnerable” in a sickening breach of trust.

The health worker, whose actions were branded “despicable” by investigating police, was first accused of sexually assaulting a patient in her 20s.

He persuaded the woman to let him give her a massage before he attacked her while her child was in the room, Maidstone Crown Court heard.

Another victim told police how Bundhun, of Canterbury in Kent, assaulted her while she was undergoing treatment and taking strong medication.

She said she was not able to fully understand what was happening to her at the time.

Bundhun was also found guilty of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl at an address in Canterbury.

The married father denied was any sexual contact the victims but they all came forward independently – three after reading about him in a newspaper.

Judge Michael Carroll said after committing some of the attacks Bundhun believed he was untouchable.

The judge said that Bundhun believed he was untouchable. Now why would a non-White think that? How many of these victims were accused of racism when they said they did not want to be treated by him?

He told him: “You are guilty of the grossest breach of trust as a professional health carer that is possible to imagine in respect of two victims.”

The court heard he forced a ‘tongue massage’ on one victim in which he licked her neck, back and bare breast.

She reported it to police and Bundhun’s DNA was recovered from swabs.
