Of Course General Flynn Should Ask for Immunity

You know who didn’t ask for immunity before he testified with regards to a bunch nonsensical Jewish fake news crimes he didn’t commit?

Oh, just a guy you’ve maybe heard of named JESUS CHRIST.

It did not turn out well.

General Flynn is absolutely right to seek immunity.

The Jewish fake news media is saying he’s doing this because he has the real story on the Trump-Putin conspiracy – in actual fact, he’s just protecting himself.

These people – led by the vicious Sanhedrin Jew Adam Schiff – have already convicted Vladimir Putin of doing Wikileaks without any evidence. Of course they would convict Flynn of something he didn’t do.

Fox News:

President Trump said Friday that his former national security adviser is right to seek immunity in exchange for answering questions on Russia, tweeting that Mike Flynn is caught up in a “witch hunt” of “historic proportion.”

Flynn’s attorney said Thursday that the retired general is in discussions with the House and Senate intelligence committees, indicating he wants immunity from “unfair prosecution” in exchange for answering questions on potential ties between Russia and Trump campaign associates.

Attorney Robert Kelner said Flynn “certainly has a story to tell, and he very much wants to tell it, should the circumstances permit,” but claimed he’s operating in a “highly politicized, witch hunt environment” and wants assurances.

Trump echoed that sentiment Friday.

“Mike Flynn should ask for immunity in that this is a witch hunt (excuse for big election loss), by media & Dems, of historic proportion!” he tweeted.

A congressional aide confirmed to the Associated Press that discussions with the Senate intelligence committee involved immunity.

Flynn’s ties to Russia have been scrutinized by the FBI and are under investigation by the House and Senate intelligence committees. Both committees are looking into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 presidential campaign and any ties between Trump associates and the Kremlin.

Since July, the FBI has been conducting a counterintelligence investigation into Russia’s interference in the election and possible coordination with Trump associates.

Four other Trump associates have come forward in recent weeks, saying they would talk to the committees. As of Wednesday, the Senate intelligence committee had asked to interview 20 people as part of the probe.

Trump and allied Republicans, though, say a bigger problem is the leaking of sensitive information and potential surveillance of Trump associates under the prior administration. FBI Director James Comey has denied Trump’s specific charge of wiretapping ordered by the former president, but House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes says he’s learned some Trump team communications were incidentally collected during the transition – information he apparently found out with help from White House aides, a detail that has only fueled Democratic complaints.

In his statement, Kelner said the political climate in which Flynn is facing “claims of treason and vicious innuendo” is factoring into his negotiations with the committees.

I just want to state here once again – because not even Fox News will say it – “incidental collection” is the technical name of the method. The collection was not “incidental” in any normal definition of that word, as it was compiled into reports that were passed around the White House.

They keep using that term to act as though this was not purposeful. You don’t “incidentally” compile intercepted communications into reports and distribute them. Though I do keep waiting for them to claim the reports were “incidentally distributed widely among White House staff.”

And that is the biggest issue here. Even if Trump is involved in some Russian conspiracy (he obviously isn’t), people only know about these ties because of illegal activity by an out of control surveillance state.

I remember when I was a kid, a drug dealer got stopped by the cops and they found some number of kilos of cocaine in his truck and the case was eventually dismissed because the court found the search was illegal.

This entire investigation is based on illegally gathered information, the biggest of which was the Flynn leak. Although the media report of the Jeff Sessions meeting with the ambassador may also have been the result of some form of illegal intelligence gathering. Certainly, whatever other information they’re talking about having was gathered illegally.

I believe they have weaved a conspiracy theory, which will turn out to be baseless.

And I believe that when it turns out that Trump was spied on, and all these same people making the accusations about Russia ties lied about it, the whole thing is going to fall apart.

When Trump said he was spied on, they should have just thrown Obama under the bus and said “oh yeah, but that doesn’t change anything about this Russian conspiracy you’re involved in…”

But it’s too late for that now. Trump was able to successfully attach his spying “claim” to the Russia investigation in such a way that proving the spying claim will destroy the entire rest of the thing.
