The Trump administration is launching a global campaign to end the criminalization of homosexuality in dozens of nations where it’s still illegal to be gay, U.S. officials tell NBC News, a bid aimed in part at denouncing Iran over its human rights record.
U.S. Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell, the highest-profile openly gay person in the Trump administration, is leading the effort, which kicks off Tuesday evening in Berlin. The U.S. embassy is flying in LGBT activists from across Europe for a strategy dinner to plan to push for decriminalization in places that still outlaw homosexuality — mostly concentrated in the Middle East, Africa and the Caribbean.
“It is concerning that, in the 21st century, some 70 countries continue to have laws that criminalize LGBTI status or conduct,” said a U.S. official involved in organizing the event.
You thought I was joking.
But no.
LITERALLY MAKING THE WORLD SAFE FOR GLOBOHOMO.
So what’s the angle here? Well, as usual, it has something to do with Iran.
Grenell, as Trump’s envoy to Germany, has been an outspoken Iran critic and has aggressively pressed European nations to abandon the 2015 nuclear deal and re-impose sanctions. But while the Trump administration has had some success in pressuring Iran through stepped-up U.S. penalties, efforts to bring the Europeans along have thus far largely fallen flat.
Reframing the conversation on Iran around a human rights issue that enjoys broad support in Europe could help the United States and Europe reach a point of agreement on Iran. Grenell called the hanging “a wake-up call for anyone who supports basic human rights,” in Bild, a leading German newspaper, this month.
Now that’s clever.
The only way that you can get the Europeans to jump onboard your war agenda is to frame it in terms of making the world safe for sodomy.
Which is… just wow.
Europeans live off of tripping over themselves to prove to the world how progressive and morally superior they are. That means being anti-War and sympathetic to Moslems. But it also means militantly promoting The Gay.
So the Neocons turn right around and try to reframe the war on Iran as a civil rights issue.
Fuckin’ clever AF. Can’t help but be ‘mirin that Ashkenazi intellect at work. Clearly, these kikes know us better than we know ourselves.
Yet by using gay rights as a cudgel against Iran, the Trump administration risks exposing close U.S. allies who are also vulnerable on the issue and creating a new tension point with the one region where Trump has managed to strengthen U.S. ties: the Arab world.
In Saudi Arabia, whose monarchy Trump has staunchly defended in the face of human rights allegations, homosexuality can be punishable by death, according to a 2017 worldwide report from the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association (ILGA). The report identified 72 nations that still criminalize homosexuality, including eight where it’s punishable by death.
That list includes the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan and Afghanistan — all U.S. allies — although those countries aren’t known to have implemented the death penalty for same-sex acts. In Egypt, whose leader Trump has effusively praised, homosexual relations aren’t technically illegal but other morality laws are used aggressively to target LGBT people.
New U.S. pressure on those countries to change their laws comes as the Trump administration is working to use nascent ties between Arab nations and Israel to form a powerful axis against Iran, a strategy that dovetails with the administration’s planned rollout of an ambitious plan for Israeli-Palestinian peace.
I’m going to ignore most of the point they’re raising here because who exactly will raise concerns about Saudi Arabia killing its homos?
The media is bought and paid for and they only attack who the Jews tell them to attack.
There will probably be only one journalist in the Western press pointing out the hypocrisy in the US policy. That based Jew hiding out in some Brazilian rainforest with his gay lover.
But that last bit about the growing alliance between the Jews and several Arab countries is worth pointing out and stressing.
Because this has already happened.
The rich Gulf states, as well as Egypt and Jordan, are already friends with Israel. They just haven’t told their people yet because they would lose legitimacy if they did. But they’re all on board.
The US is ready as well, just looking for a reason.
Iran is providing high-level al Qaeda operatives with a clandestine sanctuary to funnel fighters, money and weapons across the Middle East, according to Trump administration officials who warn that the long-elusive, complex relationship between two avowed enemies of America has evolved into an unacceptable global security threat.
With the once-prominent Islamic State receding from the spotlight, The Washington Times has learned that the administration is focusing increasingly on the unlikely alliance between Iran and al Qaeda, with what some sources say is an eye toward establishing a potential legal justification for military strikes against Iran or its proxies.
It’s legit the exact same thing they said about Iraq lol.
And the pieces are all aligning:
- Get the Europeans onboard by promoting The Gay
- Get Arabs on board, bury the hatchet with Israel
- Get US on board, using Al-Qaeda boogeyman
All of it leading up to yet another chapter in the never-ending Sandbox War.
