Let’s not jump to conclusions. Maybe he needed this money to feed his kids because White racists didn’t give him enough welfare.

Macomb Daily:

A 46-year-old parolee was charged Monday with assaulting and robbing an elderly Sterling Heights couple who had just returned home from an evening meal out.

Edwardian Dion Davidson of Warren appeared before 41-A District Judge Kimberly Wiegand on multiple charges, including assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, after allegedly robbing and assaulting an elderly couple in the driveway outside their Sterling Heights home.

Investigators say Davidson confronted the couple about 7:30 p.m. Thursday after they pulled into their driveway in the 42000 block of Jason Court, south of 19 Mile Road and west of Schoenherr Road.

Frank Bogucki, 89, was struck several times in the head, and fell to the ground. The intruder then went around the car and grabbed a purse away from Rosemarie Bogucki, 85, who initially refused to surrender.

“We’re not sure if he had a weapon,” Smith said. “He grabbed the woman’s purse, and she didn’t let go of it right away, so he yanked on it to get it away. She had some abrasions from that.”

Frank Bogucki was rushed to Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township. As of Monday night, he remained in critical condition, according to hospital spokesman Suzanne Schut.

Smith said the mugger ran off with the victim’s purse. Police found it in the suspect’s possession when he was arrested approximately 24 hours later in Detroit.

“We would like to thank the Detroit Police Department for their assistance with making the arrest and helping to bring the person responsible for this horrible crime to justice,” Smith said.

Monday afternoon Davidson was charged with one count of first-degree home invasion, two counts of unarmed robbery, one count of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, and one count of stealing a financial transaction device.

Bond was set at $2 million.
