Last week, the old guy from Duck Dynasty endorsed Ted Cruz, which I thought was a really gay move.
I have no idea who Cruz even appeals to, or why – he is at best a crappier version of Trump, and a worst a conniving liar and spineless shill.
At least now the other guy has come out and endorsed Trump.
Willie Robertson, the Duck Dynasty television star, endorsed GOP frontrunner Donald Trump on Thursday, saying Trump has two attributes that America needs —”success and strength.”
“Mr. Trump is a real leader,” Robertson said of the real-estate mogul. “He represents success and strength, two attributes our country needs. Like me, he is a successful businessman and family man and I endorse his candidacy for President of the United States.”
“I am truly honored to receive Willie’s endorsement,” Trump said in response to the endorsement. “He is a great person, has had tremendous success and a really terrific family. He believes in my message and knows that I am the only one who will Make America Great Again!”
Trump, along with his son Don Jr. and Robertson, attended the Outdoor Sportsman Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada on Thursday.
This show is (or at least was) super-popular with evangelicals, who are presumably the only ones with IQs low enough to be thinking about Cruz over Trump (Duck father is an evangelical).
Other celebrity endorsements for Trump have included Iron Mike Tyson, Hulk Hogan, Jesse Ventura, Lou Ferrigno and Jesse James.
