Dingoes don’t need guns to fight off terrorism, because they’ve got some big-ass knoives.
Aussies have had some issues with Moslem terrorists as of late.
Their brave and sagacious government has taken matters firmly in hand, with a sophisticated plan to curb-stomp ISIS once and for all.
And what is this plan?
Politely ask terrorists to turn in their guns – if they like.
Australia is to hold a national gun amnesty, its first in more than two decades, in a bid to combat terrorism and a recent influx in illegal firearms.
The three month amnesty, which begins on July 1, will allow citizens to hand in unregistered weapons without fear of prosecution, the Australian government announced Friday.
Sure, they really want to slaughter the infidel, but given the chance to turn in their weapons, I’m sure they’ll reconsider.
Anyone caught in possession of a firearm outside of the allotted amnesty timeframe could face fines of up to A$280,000 ($212,993) or up to 14 years in prison.
I’m sure people planning to commit mass shootings are really worried about violating firearm codes.
The move has been precipitated by a steady increase in the number of unregistered firearms in the country. It is estimated that there are currently 260,000 illegal guns in Australia.
Though there have been several state-based amnesties over recent years, this is the first to be called on a national scale since 1996, when the country was devastated by the Port Arthur Massacre, in Tasmania, which killed 35 people and wounded 23 others.
For several years, authorities have been calling for an overarching policy which they believe could help combat the growing threat of terrorism in the country.
In 2014, a café in Sydney was held under siege by an armed hostage-taker, leaving two people dead. Then, last month, a shootout left one man dead in what authorities are calling a “terrorist incident.”
Australia already has a ban on using firearms for self-defense (only security guards are allowed to own pistols), just like other European and commonwealth countries. So you can be sure that if there’s ever an act of violence, the only people who will be armed will be the criminals.
That’s because, as it turns out, criminals tend not to care about gun-laws. And terrorists, even less.
You bet this firearm is duly registered and the owner’s license is in order.
I doubt the 260,000 unregistered guns in Australia are all owned by terrorists, however. It’s likely that quite a few are owned by normal Australians who just want to defend themselves, as they noticed their government isn’t willing to do so.
Those people are the real target of this “gun amnesty.” There’s nothing that makes ZOG more nervous than a armed White population.
