This whole thing is retarded gaslighting.
Nobody thought the stabber was a Moslem because some random website no one ever heard of said so.
People thought he was a Moslem because that’s who does 90% of all the mass stabbings in Europe.
BBC:
Authorities in Pakistan have charged a man with cyber terrorism, in relation to disinformation believed to have fuelled UK unrest.
Police told the BBC that Farhan Asif was linked to Channel3Now, a website which posted an article in the hours after the Southport attack last month which gave a false name for the suspected attacker and suggested he was an asylum seeker who arrived in the UK by boat last year.
The article was widely quoted in viral posts on social media.
Unrest broke out in England and Northern Ireland after the fatal stabbing attack, in which three young girls died.
On Tuesday, police in Lahore said they had questioned Mr Asif about the article.
An officer told the BBC that Mr Asif said he had written the article based on information copied from a UK-based social media account without verifying it. He said that he ran the website alone.
Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency has since taken up the case and will investigate whether anyone further is involved.
BBC Verify previously tracked down several people linked to Channel3Now and questioned a person who claimed to be “management” at the site.
The person claiming to be from Channel3Now’s management told the BBC that the publication of the false name “shouldn’t have happened, but it was an error, not intentional”.
This whole “they thought it was a Moslem but it was really a non-Moslem immigrant” thing is retarded anyway.
Obviously, most of the immigrants are Moslems, so it’s a way that people classify them, separating them from Polish and Romanian immigrants while not being totally politically incorrect and saying “nonwhite.”
That’s why they talk about Moslems and Islam all the time, actually: it’s because they don’t want to say “brown people.”
But no one stopped protesting when they found out it was a non-Moslem brown person, because the religion of the brown people was never actually the issue.
These weren’t even really “riots.” Nothing even happened.
