I am not going to pretend I exactly understand what Pat Sajak meant when he Tweeted “I now believe global warming alarmists are unpatriotic racists knowingly misleading for their own ends. Good night.”
I do believe it is a hilarious statement, whatever it means.
If I had to guess, I would say he had probably been drinking, and was just trolling.
He later Tweeted “Sometimes it’s fun to poke a stick in a hornets’ nest just to hear the buzzing.” This appears to be an admission of trolling. Though Pat has occasionally defended conservative causes, though not to any extreme degree.
I don’t currently have a solid opinion on Global Warming. It seems like it would be a hoax, but when I look into it, I find that I would have to know much more about climatology than I presently have the time to learn in order to really have a serious opinion on the topic.
My feeling still is that it is probably a hoax, but these various conspiracy theorists have come up with so much insane gibberish over the years that I cannot merely take them on their word.
Something like the 9/11 hoax I can research, as a layman, and draw an accurate and clear conclusion that the conspiracy theorists are correct in at least a good portion of their assertions; conversely, you don’t have to be a highly-educated psychologist to figure out that those pushing the “crisis actor” theories are intensely confused.
But Global Warming is beyond me.
