Philippines: Davao Mall Burns Up, Killing Dozens (Terrorism???)

Yes, fires are not necessarily unusual in the Philippines or any other third world country.

However, I have never heard of a Filipino mall just burning the hell up and killing dozens of people. That is something that is unusual. And the fact that it is in Davao – the home of President Rody Duterte, and the number one spot in the country for Islamic terrorist attacks – makes it extremely suspicious.

BBC:

At least 37 people are feared to have died in a fire that tore through a shopping mall in the southern Philippine city of Davao, local officials say.

Firefighters battled for hours to extinguish the blaze that started on the third floor and spread to the floor above, trapping call centre employees.

Their chances of survival were “zero”, Davao’s Vice-Mayor Paolo Duterte said.

President Rodrigo Duterte, the vice-mayor’s father, visited the scene.

President Duterte, a Davao native, met families of the missing outside the burning NCCC mall.

The cause of the fire, which began on Saturday morning, is being investigated.

The mall’s marketing manager, Janna Abdullah Mutalib, said the blaze started on the third floor, where clothes, appliances and furniture were sold, the Philippines Star website reports.

Davao lies about 800km (500 miles) south-east of the capital Manila.

I would be surprised if this was an accident.

There has been ongoing fighting with ZOG-backed ISIS fighters on the island of Mindanao.

Apparently, no Moslem group has claimed the fire as an attack, so a coincidence is possible. But it would be quite a coincidence.

I have been in the mall many times and it is one of the more upscale malls in the city. It is also on a major highway some distance outside of the center of the city, which is generally not especially crowded, and thus it shouldn’t have been hard to get firefighters in quickly if this was a minor accidental fire.

Also, if it had been an accident, the entire mall would have been chattering rumors about the source of it. And that is not being reported.
