A PREDATORY sex attacker who assaulted at least three lone women while on the run from immigration authorities has been jailed for 12 years.
Gambian Lamin Touray came to the UK in 2009 with a temporary permit to attend a wedding but failed to leave.
He struck for the first time within weeks of his arrival, pouncing on a student walking home from a club in Newport, south Wales. He was arrested but was bailed and vanished.
Leeds Crown Court heard how Touray, 36, avoided the authorities for four years until he struck twice in Leeds in December 2013. Police fear he may have attacked more times but the crimes were not reported.
His second known victim was heading home from a Christmas party when he pounced. She kicked him in the stomach and escaped.
Two days later another woman was attacked as she also went home from a party.
Touray admitted attempted rape, two charges of sexual assault and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
