President of Uruguay Visits White House, Demands Americans Learn Spanish and Stop Smoking

This is another one of those news stories that “Conservative” Fox News posted on their special Latino section, but not the main site.

The president of Uruguay called Spanish the “more or less mother tongue of this continent.” The president called on Americans to stop smoking tobacco. This seems ironic, since he just spearheaded an effort to legalize marijuana in Uruguay.

To his credit, president Jose Mujica Cordano may very well be one of the least corrupt presidents in the world. He was impoverished when he assumed office and has stayed impoverished. By comparison Barack Obame went from a personal net worth of $1.3 million to $11.5 million during his first term alone.
