Republicucks Now Doing Boomerposting Against Trump Administation’s “Family Separations”

I would like to think of “family separations” as “punitive child abuse.” However, as we learned yesterday, it is not actually child abuse, it is just family separation.

When you go to jail for a crime, your children do not go with you. If you have children when you are given a jail sentence, you are not allowed to stay at home because of your children.

People do not use the term “child abuse” or even “family separation” when someone’s parents go to jail in any other situation.

This is really a non-issue. Fake news. Trump is sending illegal immigrants to jail, and if they come illegally with their children, they are in the same situation as any other individual who goes to jail for any other reason.

It is just emotional blackmail against Americans to attempt to get them to re-legalize illegal immigration.

The solution should be “immediate deportation of the entire family.” Obviously. But the courts have said that is illegal. So Trump said okay, put them in jail then.

So they come up with this “family separations” meme.

Now, the shitpublicucks are endorsing it.

Scoring signaling points.

New York Times:

Leading figures of both parties demanded on Sunday that President Trump halt his administration’s practice of separating children from their parents when apprehended at the border, as the issue further polarized the already divisive immigration debate in Washington.

Republican lawmakers, the former first lady Laura Bush, a conservative newspaper and a onetime adviser to Mr. Trump joined Democrats in condemning family separations that have removed nearly 2,000 childrenfrom their parents in just six weeks. The administration argued that it was just enforcing the law, a false assertion that Mr. Trump has made repeatedly.

Gotta love that NYT editorializing (lying) under the guise of straight news reporting.

It isn’t a “false assertion” that it is illegal to cross the border illegally.

What the Obama administration did was make it effectively impossible to deport anyone who enters the country illegally, especially people who claim “asylum.” They said they have to get a court date. And the whole court process takes forever, so they just “catch and release” – literally, arresting them for illegally crossing and releasing them – giving them a court date that none of them ever show up for.

So Trump said “okay, well hold them in jail until their court date then.” And you can’t take children to jail, so the children go to these centers.

He is literally “just enforcing the law.”

The issue took on special resonance on Father’s Day as Democratic lawmakers visited detention facilities in Texas and New Jersey to protest the separations and the House prepared to take up immigration legislation this week. Pictures of children warehoused without their parents in facilities, including a converted Walmart store, have inflamed passions and put the administration on the defensive.

The first pictures they spread were from the Obama era.

He put children in detention facilities too.

This is from March 11, 2015:

Democrats are the real child-imprisoners.

Mr. Trump did not directly address the family separations on Sunday, saying only that Democrats should work with Republicans on border security legislation. “Don’t wait until after the election because you are going to lose!” he wrote on Twitter.

But Melania Trump weighed in, saying she “hates to see children separated from their families and hopes both sides of the aisle can finally come together.” Mrs. Trump “believes we need to be a country that follows all laws, but also a country that governs with a heart,” the first lady’s office said in a statement.

By laying responsibility for the situation on “both sides,” Mrs. Trump effectively echoed her husband’s assertion that it was the result of a law written by Democrats. In fact, the administration announced a “zero tolerance” approach this spring, leading to the separations.

IT IS THE DEMOCRATS WHO INVENTED “CATCH AND RELEASE.”

READ THE WIKIPEDIA PAGE ABOUT IT!

Yes, under Bush is when it started, but it was Obama that normalized it as public policy. PLUS – what is the difference between George Bush and a Democrat? Trump could just as easily be blaming Bush for this, and the media would defend Bush. It’s his wife that they’re dragging out to push this shit already.

Mrs. Bush, the last Republican first lady, spoke out forcefully against the practice on Sunday in a rare foray into domestic politics, comparing it to the internment of Japanese-Americans during World War II. “I live in a border state,” she wrote in a guest column in The Washington Post. “I appreciate the need to enforce and protect our international boundaries, but this zero tolerance policy is cruel. It is immoral. And it breaks my heart.”

Stfu you stupid bitch!

THIS IS OUR HOME!

WE LIVE HERE!

She attributed the situation entirely to the administration. “The reason for these separations is a zero tolerance policy for their parents, who are accused of illegally crossing our borders,” she wrote.

That isn’t the reason.

The reason is that your husband and Obama came up with the idea of “catch and release” to replace “catch and detain” and, best of all, “catch and deport.”

Trump can’t go back to “catch and deport” because of Obama’s laws, so he is doing “catch and detain.”

Senator Susan Collins, Republican of Maine, deplored separations on Sunday, except in cases where there is evidence of abuse or another good reason.

Oh this bitch.

I hate that ugly gnome faced bitch more than like anyone in the world other than John McCain himself.

“What the administration has decided to do is to separate children from their parents to try to send a message that, if you cross the border with children, your children are going to be ripped away from you,” she said on “Face the Nation” on CBS. “That is traumatizing to the children, who are innocent victims. And it is contrary to our values in this country.”

OUR VALUES!

THEY ALWAYS DO THE MEMES!

Eventually the media catches on to the memes. But the boomers don’t.

Former President Bill Clinton likewise spoke out, suggesting that Mr. Trump was using the widely denounced practice to leverage Democrats into accepting immigration limits in legislation they would otherwise oppose.

Bill Clinton, my God.

For his part, he never did catch and release. He was like “BUILD THE WALL!”

But now of course, evil Trump bad man.

“These children should not be a negotiating tool,” he wrote on Twitter. “And reuniting them with their families would reaffirm America’s belief in & support for all parents who love their children.

Hillary Clinton retweeted that message, adding, “YES!”

First time Hillary ever shouted “YES!” at her husband!

(That’s a joke about their notoriously bad sex life… kinda think that joke should have been better…)

Contrary to the president’s public statements, no law requires families to necessarily be separated at the border. Attorney General Jeff Sessions’s “zero tolerance” announcement this spring that the government will prosecute all unlawful immigrants as criminals set up a situation in which children are removed when their parents are taken into federal custody.

Previous administrations made exceptions to such prosecutions for adults traveling with minor children, but the Trump administration has said it will not do so.

Well, then the immigrants will just pick up random children to travel with them.

“In order to cross the border and get free in America, you must be carrying a child.”

You’d probably have children getting kidnapped in Juarez, just to be carried across the border.

Anyway, as you can see, this is all just a gigantic hoax.

Trump would obviously prefer “catch and deport,” but he is being blocked from doing that by federal judges and Obama era regulations. So in order to enforce immigration law, he has to jail people, and you can’t put the child in the jail cell with the parent.

Or can you?

Maybe that is the solution?

Is there some reason that the children can’t be sent to jail with their parents?

Whatever.

Doesn’t matter.

Trump isn’t going to crack on this. People can sort of read between the lines of the media hoax. And people have also developed an immunity to this bullshit churchlady “think of the children” emotional blackmail, generally.

So I think it’s fine.

This is a deterrent.

Everyone is going to jail.

I think it would be best if the frame was switched and they said straight up “look, you’re not letting us deport them, what choice do we have?”
