Nathan Grey is lucky to be alive, after Black thugs shot him in the face.

A reward is being offered for information in a violent robbery that left an Army veteran with a gunshot wound to his face.

The robbery happened Sunday night at the Gatti’s in the 400 block of Rayford Road in Spring.

Two gunmen stormed in and demanded money from a manager who was closing the restaurant.

The victim tried to grab one suspect’s gun. During the struggle, the robber shot him in the face.

Nathan Grey, 24, was rushed to Woodlands Memorial Hermann Hospital.

“He is so, so, so lucky,” said Krysta Saul, Grey’s girlfriend. “Someone above was definitely watching over him.”

Saul arrived at the restaurant just as the robbers were running away.

The two gunman were intent on robbing the restaurant.

“I pulled up and I saw a bunch of red stuff on the ground and at first I thought it was pizza sauce because I would never imagine this would happen,” Saul said.

Then she saw Grey on the restaurant floor.

Saul said Grey will require several surgeries and will be in the hospital for at least two weeks. He doesn’t have insurance.

“Financially, we’ve been pretty strapped,” Saul said.

The family has set up an account for donations to help with the mounting medical bills.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has released surveillance photos of the suspects with hopes that someone will recognize them.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to their arrests. If you know anything, please call Crime Stoppers or the MCSO at 281-297-6524.
