Drug dealer Rizwan Attaullah was caught with heroin and cocaine after a police chase.
The addict tried to throw police off the scene by hurling a package away after he crashed his car.
But officers recovered dozens of wraps of heroin and crack cocaine – and then intercepted a call on his mobile phone arranging a drugs deal.
Now the long-term drug user, from Heckmondwike, is behind bars after a court heard he agreed to supply drugs to pay off his own debts.
Police tried to stop Attaullah when they saw him in a hire car in the Lupset area of Wakefield on July 3, but he drove off along a couple of streets before his path was blocked by an oncoming vehicle.
Patrick Gallagher prosecuting told Leeds Crown Court yesterday Attaullah collided with a parked vehicle as he tried to squeeze through.
He was arrested after a short struggle and was seen to throw a package under the vehicle he had collided with.
When it was recovered it was found to contain 41 deals of heroin with a street value of £309.50 and 43 crack cocaine deals worth £597.
