Russian Whore Feminist Arrested for Hate Speech Against Men

Hate speech laws can be a lot of fun when the shoe is on the other foot, eh?

Russian investigators have launched a criminal case against a feminist from the Siberian city of Omsk on charges of inciting hatred after posting jokes about men on her page in Russia’s most popular social network, Vkontakte.

“A criminal case has been started against Lubov Kalugina on suspicion of crimes described in the Article 282 of the Russian Criminal Code, the investigation is currently underway,” an aide to the head of the Omsk Region branch of Russia’s Investigative Committee, Larisa Boldinova, told the Gorod55 news site.

One meme shows a woman wielding a frying pan with the caption: “Beat up a brute, save Russia!” Other materials include texts featuring profanity and violent imagery.

Kalugina told RFE/RL she does not believe any of her VKontakte posts constitute hate speech or would incite violence.

“I don’t think there is any reason whatsoever to charge me with hate speech toward anyone,” she said, adding that “90 percent of the content consists of jokes or infighting with other feminists.”

Well, I sure am laffin’.

Kalugina says the individual who filed a complaint against her with prosecutors “clearly just didn’t understand what or who was being discussed.”

The SOVA Center said that while some of Kalugina’s content could be seen as calling for violence against men, it poses little real threat and should not result in criminal charges.

This is unironically based.

Let me tell you a dirty little secret about free speech. The Left used it when they were weak and wanted protection from the state to do its dirty work. And now that they’ve taken power in the West, they arrest anyone who criticizes their beliefs.

That is all that free speech was and is to Leftists. A tool to use when weak, but to discard when dominant.

And now the Right in America picks up “freeze peach” as an issue and says, “bu-bu-bu-but, we thought you were for free speech?”

They’re going to try and pull the same trick in Russia.

Luckily, slavs aren’t very rule-oriented. They like approximations and follow the general spirit of things, not necessarily the letter of the law. I think that the government will find no great difficulty in squaring the notion of “there is free speech in Russia” with arresting Feminists, Atheists and Moslems.

Just like the governments of Europe support free speech but arrest White people who step out of line.

And I must say, it’s a wonderful thing to have the laws and the government supporting you. All of a sudden, I feel like a liberal. Omnipotent and powerful. Able to inform on my fellow citizens, should they express an opinion I disagree with.

Gotta ask Putin for a Russian citizenship and a dacha in the Russian countryside ASAP. Although, who knows, maybe I should tough out the American thing for a few more years. Maybe we will indeed make America great again and start mass-arresting liberals on Adjustment Day. 

One last thing.

I know, I know. There are some Russian Nationalists that could end up getting in trouble with the whole Hate Speech law code thing.

But you gotta keep in mind that a lot of these guys are hardcore. And not like those internet LARPers who talk about DOTR and 14/88 fed-posters on the American alternet.

I mean like, chopping the heads of Dagis and Turkmen in the woods hardcore tier.

Which, kids, you should probably not do. Just saying.

And I’m not going to cry over a dead Dagi or anything…

… but I could see how the government might feel that they should clamp down on that kind of thing.

Now you know I’m not as hardcore as anonymous poster “DerWERWAFFEN14x88” or something. I should be purged for insinuating that the kids shouldn’t be making decapitation vids and putting them on the Interwebs, right?
