Lehigh Valley Live:

Weeks dragged into months after the murder of Michael Davis. A year passed and no one was charged with killing the 25-year-old Palmer Township man.

It took 10 law enforcement agencies working together to piece together the criminal conspiracy that allegedly led to the cellphone store worker’s death and the robberies of multiple stores.

Now, more than two years after Davis’ killing, one of the alleged perpetrators in the scheme will stand trial.

Jury selection is slated for Monday in the trial of Gregory Lewis, 28, of Wilson Borough. He and Vaughn-Darrius Felix, 28, of Easton, allegedly killed Davis on Nov. 21, 2016.

They’re also charged with kidnapping Verizon store manager Michael DeRose on Nov. 22, 2015. The crimes were in furtherance of a scheme to rob cellphone stores and sell the ill-gotten goods.

Lewis is charged with participating in robberies of cellphone stores in Bethlehem Township, Wind Gap and South Whitehall Township and a jewelry store in Easton. He’s not charged with helping rob the Forks Township store where Davis and DeRose worked.
